NULLIn 2006, I joined Patrick Endres, one of Alaska's top wildlife photographers, on a 9-day expedition from the city of Fairbanks heading north-bound over the Brooks Range and into the Arctic Circle. We travelled the length of the Dalton Highway, making a basecamp at Wiseman for a few nights to break the journey before eventually reaching Prudhoe Bay. By day we chased the wildlife, generally not straying too far from the highway and the protection from the sub-zero temperatures offered by the support vehicles.By night, we chased the Aurora Borealis, the magnificent and trance-inducing Northern Lights created by solar dust colliding with the Earth's atmosphere.
