It’s 6.15 am and the coffee at the Best Western in tiny town of Lone Pine California has been gulped down. Yesterday we were in Yosemite National Park retracing the footsteps of Ansel Adams. Today we are off to photograph Death Valley and then on to Las Vegas after nightfall. Those are some long distances in the car but the scenery is incredible, especially the drive across the Tioga Pass.
We took a quick trip into the Death Valley National Park last night but soon found that our rental was no match for the rugged off-road terrain that was the fastest route from the West side of the park to the Racetrack, so we had to turn back.
So the car is packed, the cameras are charged and we’re off to one of the hottest places on Earth.
No photos to share yet but there’ll be plenty coming soon.
