I was in Beijing last weekend and managed to take in a few of highlights: The Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven and an un-restored section of The Great Wall of China.
I must admit that taking photographs in China is a different type of difficult. I’m used to sweet-talking locals into posing for a quick shot, or using a longer lens to get a candid shot from afar, but when I was warned that as a Caucasian wandering around with a large camera I might possibly be detained for spying, I decided not to take any chances this trip. So the shots below are from some of the top “designated tourism areas”. Perhaps next time I’ll be a little more adventurous.

Great pics, I love the temple of heaven! It is one of my favorites in BJ and I have been there many times.
"Caucasian wandering around with a large camera I might possibly be detained for spying", ha ha, if you apprear in Tiananmen Square, probably, but many other places are fine.
